POST-UTME IN REVIEW: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT FUNAAB POST-UTME

As usual, we bring you gathered details about what we have learnt about a particular Institution's examination. Below are things we believe you need to know about the Federal University Of Agriculture, Abeokuta.

• the Post UTME exams to be written in the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta is a Computer Based Test (CBT) hence no past-question can be obtained.

• Your waec results determine your chances to a greater extent since it is used in calculating your total marks for admission purposes

• once you meet off the UTME cut off mark which in most cases is 180 and you meet the required POST UTME score for a pass, be sure you will get a course to study; though if you do not do too well, you might not get your course of choice, unless your course is not competitive.

List of Competitive courses in Funaab are
1. All Engineerin' courses are competitive ( the least competitive is Agricultural Engineering. )
2. Almost all COINAS(college of Natural sciences) Courses ( Computer sc, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Mathematics, Phsics, Statistics.. Biology is the least competitive. )
2. COLERM Courses like Environmental management and toxicology & Wma.. Aqfm and Fwm are the least competitive
4. Veterinary Medicine is very Competitive.
5. COLAMRUD courses like (Ae & Fm), (Ae & Rd) are a bit competitive.
6. COLFECH courses also are a bit competitive ( Food Science and Technology & Nutrition and Dietics. Hsm is the least competitive).
7. In COLANIM Aph is very competitive the rest are not all that competitive except for Animal Breeding and Genetics.
8. Generally all COPLANT courses are not competitive.. If you dont get your firstchoice of course Coplant is more of the place you'll find yourself in if your not lucky with other departments.

• So just try and get good grades.. Funaab hardly accpets 2nd choice university students, however in some cases they do accept.

To calculate your current score, before post-utme,
• step one
* divide ur jamb by 8
* second step
A1 is 6
b2 is 5
b3 is 4
c4 is 3
c5 is 2

.third step
sum the o-level and multiply it by 20 and divide it by 30.....
. forth step

POST-UTME IN REVIEW: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT UNIBEN POST-UTME AND ADMISSIONS.

As always, we try to bring you details of recently taken examinations in various tertiary Institutions.
Below are the basic things we believe you need to know about the UNIVERSITY OF BENIN'S post-utme examination.

• Past question is okay to study for preparation and familiarization of questions. But do not expect an exact repeat of a set of questions, though questions can be interchanged.

• do not give up by changing course or Institution probably due to your low UTME score, you can still hit the treasure in your post-utme with hardwork and zeal.

• The post-utme examination is sincerely not hard as you think or as many people tag it, once you prepare well, you are in.

•the post-utme consists of 80 questions with just 40 english and 40 general papers so do not expect any chemistry, physics, government e.t.c.

• Post utme form is not SUPPOSED and WOULD NOT be out now 'because the Institution is still in its 1st semester which should end by May but that should not be a reason why you should not read.

• We have various UNIBEN past questions, available at our past questions section.

Share this using the links below if you find it helpful.

JAMB TO REDUCE POST-UTME CUT-OFF MARKS. DETAILS HERE

From my visit to Abuja, there might be a possible reduction in cut-off for individual universities before the post-utme exercise begins. This is due to the below par performance recorded at this years UTME exercise.

A staff confirmed that at the JAMB headquarters, Bwari Abuja, when I visited the office, on thursday. According to him, there would be a policy meeting next month, after which the cut-offs would be decided, though, he said, if they decide that, the results were fine, the cut-offs would remain the same.

The possible reduction is as follows.
FEDERAL UNIVERSITY- 190
STATE UNIVERSITY-170
POLYTECHNICS- 150.

They meeting would hold on the 21st of march from which it would be decided if a reduction is necessary of not.

POST-UTME IN REVIEW: WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT UNILAG POST-UTME AND ADMISSIONS.

Ahead of the UNILAG post-utme exercise, which would be held possibly sometime in mid-july, I believe you all need to know the following details.

The University of lagos aggregate points/cut off marks is calculated as follows
__________________________________________________
UTME SCORE/8 + POST UTME SCORE/2 = OVERALL CUT POINTS which is based over 100.

The question about high or low cut off points is dependent on the number of candidates who entered for a particular course and their overall performance. Which explains that, if performance was very good, cut-off would be high for that course, while if it is low, cut-off would be low.

It is never pre-decided as many believes. Cut-off comes after merit admission has been given.

Prepare yourself with the past questions available at our past questions section.

BUS CRASH INTO STUDENTS AT UNIBEN, HITS AT LEAST 3. (ISSAC)

Catastrophe struck today as a certain driver caught with conveying passengers with increased fares zoomed into a crowd of students knocking down at least three students after being sanctioned by Union officials.

The presence of part-time students in the University of Benin during weekends has always posed great concerns to the leaders of the SUG. This is because commercial bus drivers always try to take advantage of this situation and escalate fares by usually one hundred (100%) percent or more.

This ugly incident was intercepted by officials of the Union who were not far away. The bus driver was taken to the June 12 Secretariat where he was appropriately dealt with while the injured students were immediately rushed to the University's health center.

THIS IS NOT SOMETHING YOU SEE EVERYDAY: 6 LEGGED BABY OPERATED IN PAKISTAN- DON'T READ THIS WITHOUT SHARING WITH YOUR FRIENDS

A baby boy born with six legs has had a successful operation to remove his fourextra limbs, doctors said on Thursday.
The youngster from Karachi in Pakistan was believed to have had a parasitic twin, which had not developed properly in the womb, resulting in the extra legs.
A team of five doctors had fought to save the boy's life at the National Institute of Child Health in Karachi.
The head of the NICH, Jamal Raza, said the abnormal birth was the result of a genetic disease which would affect only one in a million or more babies.
"It was strange that apparently an abnormal baby with six legs was as normal asother children," he said.
Before surgeons could operate they said they had to work out which of the limbsbelonged to the boy and which to his twin.
Doctors examined MRI, blood tests and CT scan reports before deciding to perform the surgery. The operation lasted eight hours and was performed in stages.
The baby had been in an intensive care unit ward since he was born last week tothe wife of an X-ray technician
