THE FOUR LETTER WORD THAT KILLS YOUR DREAM AND DESTROYS THE FUTURE

There are many things that you think of yourself, many wish you have for your future, many DREAMS you see in yourself. Who says you cannot achieve all that, what has he to his name to decide who can and who cannot?

"I am looking for a lot of men who have an infinite capacity to not
know what can't be done." - Henry Ford

"I can believe anything, provided it is incredible." - Oscar Wilde

We are powerful beyond all measures to achieve all that we want, all that we ever dream of, BUT, We see our challenges bigger than our dream, we see the path to it farther than the destination. We dream dreams and nurse doubts. In doing all this we give rise to the only factor responsible for averting our success, and we do not notice it. That powerful factor that destroys our future is but the fout lettered word, FEAR.

FEAR.
With fear comes doubt, weakness and unbelief in your dreams, visions and ambitions which at a point in time would lead to failure and bitterness in every area of our life and academics.

Decide today, what path you choose. Is your challenges bigger than your dreams or are the obstacles more frightening than the Joy of success. What are you afraid of?

• Fear of failure
• Fear of Ridicule
• Fear of falling
• Fear of loosing.

What ever it is, remember that if you do not take a step, you cannot climb the staircase to your next level.
Kill that silent voice inside you telling you that you can't because you can achieve any and everything that you want to.
It's the "I can't" voice that, over time, kills your ability and even your desire to dream. Yet many of the marvels of our modern world exist because someone had the audacity to dream, to simply not accept that something could not be done.
Aristole in his words put it that "Man is a bundle of Endless possibilities" and that is what you are as soon as you believe it.

NIGERIAN UNIVERSITIES IMPROVE IN AFRICAS RANKING. IBADAN LEADS, UNN, UNIZIK MISSING AGAIN IN TOP HUNDRED UNIVERSITIES IN AFRICA. O.A.U CRASHES TO 4TH IN THE COUNTRY.

The latest world University ranking released yesterday by 4icu, has seen major changes in power of Nigerian and African Universities in World rankings.

The listing which was headed by the University of cape town, south Africa was dominated by south african universities, although, Egypt is proving seriously to be a force to contend with. Two Egyptian Universities occupied the top ten, among eight south african institutions. Kenya, uganda, Namibia, tanzania, botswana and Ghana are other countries with Institutions in the top 20.

The highest and best ranking Nigerian University, the University of Ibadan lightly dominates Nigeria and made a huge progress from 45th position to 30th position, in Africa while surprisingly, University of Benin, crawled all the way from 5th in Nigeria to become the 2nd best institution in the country, while trailing Ibadan in 32nd spot in africa and in the nearest future could become the best University in Nigeria. University of Lagos(UNILAG) stays 3rd in Nigeria, and 38th in Africa, while University of Illorin comes 4th in Nigeria and 40th in the Continent, completing the "FOOL AT FOURTY CYCLE".

Most alarming rank from the Obafemi Awolowo University(OAU) as the institution crashed from 3rd best University in the Country to lie 5th in Nigeria and 43 in Africa and on the verge of losing out their position on the top 5 to the north as Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU) zaria trails in 6th and 46th in the Continent. It has been a National record that the Obafemi Awolowo University, popularly known as Oba Awon University(king of other uni.) Within the campus, have never fallen out of the top 4 university in the Country, but currently lie 5th now and Most of the students from blames their fall on the 3 months strike the institution suffered early last session and believes they will gain back their pedestal in the least possible time.

It has also been a common thing now for the two top south Eastern University, the University of Nigeria, Nsukka(UNN) and the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka(UNIZIK) to be found not worthy of occupying a top 100 spot in Africa.

The list in summary below(rank in africa);
1• University of Ibadan (30)
2• University of Benin (32)
3• University of Lagos (38)
4• University of Illorin (40)
5• Obafemi Awolowo University (43)
6• Ahmadu Bello University (46)
7• University of Jos (59)
8• University of Portharcourt (73)
9• Federal University, oye, Ekiti
10• Lagos state University.

MY LOVE LIFE: HOW IT STANDS.....

I have spent a lot of time watching people meet up, pick up, hook up, catch up, tease up, sex up, break up, make up and carry on again as though nothing has happened. At times I wonder, why engage yourself when you are 89% most likely to break up again, but she replied, that people die from auto crash does not stop one from owning a car.

As a result of this, I have grown up to become a very good fan of relationships, dating and emotions as long as the passion and the love is there.

I am believing that more relationships are in chaos now than are successful, and it doesn't always end up in a fairytale, "LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER" like we all wish for.
I guess i have said a lot already, now you tell me, which love song currently describe the state of your relationship?

Please be honest in your comment.

GIST OF TODAY: THE ONE THING THE WHITES GOT WRONG: MAINTAINANCE. (GOD IS THE MASTER CREATOR)

"If they continue in their quest for success in cloning and test tubes, they might produce children/humans that would require weekly servicing to stay human"-da-silva

The above statement is no joke in any form but an actual fact from daily revelations.
We are in the 21st century and it has been documented over and over again. Invention has been going on all around the world and everyone is a testimony of each of those inventions.

Human lives have been greatly improved, thanks to the help of inventions especially machines which has benefited us in every way by making our jobs, easier and faster(just as it is defined).

The whites in their ability has improved their efforts towards improving human lives as they sought for new machines and further improvement to the existing machines.

One thing I have noticed is that for every one of this life improving machines you purchase, you are investing 2/10 (two tenth) of your monthly income into maintenance and repairs. Let's imagine this ourselves, how much have you spent on airtime and repairs since you purchased that expensive mobile phone or laptop?
How much have you spent on petrol and gasoline since you owned that lovely car, how much have you given out to DSTV owners since you bought that decoder? how much have you saved since you owned such items?

My focus here actually is on the repair and maintenance of this items rather than the cost of running them. How many times have you taken your vehicle to that mechanic?

I decided to shed light on this as a result of a discussion my uncle brought up last night. He said, "today, the generator needs servicing, tomorrow, it is the car, next, its the desktop, how much more would I spend on these items?"

Many of us recharge in excess of N5,000 on airtime monthly, blackberry and other services excluded. Laptop browsing charges is nothing to write home about. Still yet, we are crying for more appliances. Why not? After all, the engineers and mechanics must feed their families.

Every of their invention has a lifespan of one month without issues. Any other day is by the grace of the OS.
My major fear now is that they have entered deeply into genetic and DNA engineering. We here of clones and test tube babies, and they have started inventing humans, combining the power and ability of many in one.

I am pretty sure that If they continue in their quest for success in cloning and test tubes, they might produce children/humans that would one day require weekly servicing to remain human. Godly creatures should remain Godly and man made, remain what they are.

One day definitely, like their inventions, the INVENTED HUMANS would overheat and malfunction, in which case a HUMAN MECHANIC would be required.

What do you think about the effect of technology in our daily lives?
Comment to say your opinion.

Thanks.

DISASTER LOOMS AS IMT STUDENTS PROTEST OVER FEE HIKE- MORAH

A report arriving now indicates that the students of the Institute of management and technology, IMT, enugu staged a protest in opposition to the institution's tuition fee increase.

It is understood that the institution doubled their fees from previously paid N25,000 to somewhat around 50+ for the existing students while as much as N70,000 and above is required from would be(new) students.

The protest although peaceful according to the reporter but could gain momentum in few days if the school fails to heed to their plea which is not good for our educational sector.

We hereby plead with the school management, to heed to the cry of the student.

Thanks.

STRIKE!!!! FED POLY OKO GOES ON STRIKE

The Federal polytechnic, Oko, Anambra state, today commenced a fresh strike action which is believed to be the traditional warning strike as it is known.

The lecturers of the Institution demands an increase in their monthly turn over and according to them, the situation has been left unattended to despite delaying their action for week. On seeing that the government is not interested in their plight, they decided to put forth a demonstration to prove that they have their reasons.

The one week strike if left unattended would naturally lead to an indefinite strike action and as such, we plead with the federal government on behalf of the lecturers to grant ears to the plea of our Teachers so that the Future of TOMORROW'S LEADERS may be bright else, the future of our country would be in jeopardy.

Thanks- VNTI.

PAST WEEK IN REVIEW: MULTIPLE CASUALTIES REMINDS ME THAT GOD HAS A PURPOSE FOR ME. WHAT ABOUT YOU? (STORY OF MY LIFE)

I have been living my life like any other person this week past fully and extensively devoid of events and activities. I only stepped out of the compound once in celebration of Christ on ASH WEDNESDAY which I observed with my extended family at CHURCH OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AWKA(pauls university).

Every other day was maligned by my normal sequence of activities popularly depicted by using the word CREPTS indicating; Chat/class, Read, Eat, Play, Think/talk and universally Sleep.

Its has always been this boring streak of events experienced by me everyday with my only source of joy coming from My efforts in making education/examination easy and fun to do. I just enjoyed helping everyone of these students in any way I possibly can, doing what I can do, making available past questions, news, information and other details.

Happily/luckily for me, I broke even on sunday. I meant I got something to make me leave the house again. This is the important part of the story and I want to share it with you.

Yesterday as it is, our landlord's child failed to meet up in time to join her school bus back to school at Handmaids girls secondary school, Amansea, Awka. Her parents refused to allow her go alone at 6:00pm in the evening and insisted that she is not returning UNLESS I am to take her. Knowing what risk it bears to take her all the way up to her destination in amansea and return back to Awka(the city of Armed Robbers), it was difficult to say yes but I still heeded anyway and then the tragedy occurred.

You do not need to fret out, its only a normal thing that happens everyday. We did leave awka only to arrive amansea to meet a crowd somewhere around the junction leading to the express. It was terrible to note that two bodies lay there LIFELESS on the floor. The dead were allegedly slain my a motorist on high speed, even though I cannot describe fully how it happened. The two individuals consisting of a public motorcycle(okada) driver and his passenger. I also understood that the slayer(killer) took off immediately after the accident probably out of fear of facing the advancing crowd.
The sight of the motorcycle involved was not pretty at all as you would see different piece of the machine littered along the express. With such state of the motorcycle, I was utterly suprised to see the victims still lying still in one piece even though they plead DEAD. Still standing there in my amazement, members of the Nigerian Road Safety in their vehicle took with them the lifeless bodies of the deceased and it made me wonder about HOW THICK IS OUR LIFE? WHAT IS OUR ASSURANCES THAT WE WOULD SEE 12:00PM TODAY. IT MAKES ME REALISE HOW IMPORTANT GOD REALLY IS. As I set forth to go home to Awka, at around 7:15pm(really late isn't it, definitely not a time to be alone in that location) my uncle and I drove slowly through the cold roads of Anambra while still evaluating and discussing what we just witnessed. Suprisingly but not abnormally, it happened again, but this time, We(my uncle and I) were the Victim. My uncle in his experience has been noticing some slight noises and jolts in the car ever since we had been on that trip and for that reason, he decided against speeding which would have been a disaster. As we continued the journey, he was feeling uneasy and so he insisted we stop along the road in the scary dark clouds of the night, somewhat around 8:00pm to check the car before we move on, and guess what...........

The car tires were all loosed to a large extent that any further progress in that condition could lead to a story in the press the following day. The screws were all out of their position and as we move, they were unscrewing the more leading to a situation where the tires would pull out of the car while we were on the express with other sort of vehicles behind and before us. At that point, it occurred to me that I would not be here to tell you all this, IF WE HAD BEEN ON THE NORMAL SPEED the express is known for. There and then I realised that GOD in his infinite mercy kept me alive for a reason, I don't know what that is but one thing I know is that I am alive today as a result of his grace, I live by his grace, I therefore has made up my mind in view of this to assist any and everyone I come across as long as it is something I can afford. He gave me life to live, I want to give him a reason for living. I want to live to help people achieve miracles whatsoever in their lives.
My uncle and I after the events decided to stop by an eatery around AROMA ROUNDABOUT in awka to sort ourselves out after the experience. This made me conclude that My being alive today is for a reason, WHAT ABOUT YOU, ARE YOU FULFILING YOUR PURPOSE OF BEING HERE?

YOU HAVE HEARD MY STORY. ITS YOUR TURN NOW. TELL US ABOUT YOURS. THE MOST COMPELLING STORY OF THANKS TO THE GIVER OF LIFE WOULD BE PUBLISH EVERY WEEK.
Send your messages to Admin@nigerianuniversities.edu.tf for review.
