UTME WILL NOT HOLD IN NORTHERN STATES- JAMB REGISTRAR.

The current security situation of the north, has forced the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,(JAMB) responsible for admissions into tertiary institutions to take decisions regarding the safety of the Candidates sitting for the examination.

The Registrar, professor Dibu Ojerinde, disclosed at their 58th National Executive Council meeting on education that the board WILL NOT conduct their march 24th unified tertiary matriculation Examination(UTME) in the troubled state of Northern Nigeria, which include, borno, Kaduna, Kano and others.

He maintained that the candidates writing at the centre affected would stand no choice but to take their papers elsewhere. While apologizing for the discomfort that might come from this, he maintained that it is in their best interest to insure the security of the student prior to the Examination.
